Barcelona World Race

The only sailing race around the world, the Barcelona World Race is the first and until today the only sailing regatta, in which the participants in teams of two people with their boats without stopovers around the world sailing. The boats will start on December 31, 2010 at 13: 00 at the port of Barceloneta, directly in front of the W Hotel and the first boats end March 2011 are expected back after a course of about 25,000 miles (46.300 km). The route runs from Barcelona over Buena Esperanza, Leeuwin, Hornos and then through the Cook Strait, with Antarctica to starboard back to Barcelona.
